Gerald Fiebig, b. 1973, lives in Augsburg. Editor, audio artist and poet. In 1992 he formed the experimental music group “die grenzlandreiter” with Mathias Huber. Since 2006 he performs regularly in a duo for electroacoustic improvisation with Gerhard Zander.
Since 2006, several of his works have been performed at festivals such as „Synthèses“ (Bourges/France), „LAB30“ (Augsburg), „Erlanger Hörkunstfestival“, „Zeppelin“ (Barcelona/Spain) and „Puente Sonoro“ (Manizales/Colombia).
In 2006, „die grenzlandreiter“ produced an open-air sound performance in the streets of Munich, creating an „Acoustic Monument for Walter Klingenbeck“, a radio experimenter and antifascist activist murdered by the nazis in 1944.
Several audio art works by Gerald Fiebig and various collaborators have been broadcast by major German radio stations since 2007.
